As the year winds down, there’s no better excuse to gather the team and enjoy a little end-of-year fun. Whether you’re planning something special for a big corporate crew or a tight-knit group who’ve been in the trenches together all year, there are plenty of ways to make everyone feel appreciated.
And with the festive season in full swing, it’s the perfect moment to step away from the deadlines, share a laugh, and reconnect before you all dive into a fresh new year.
Team building activities
Sydney Racquet Club

If you’re looking to head outside, enjoy some sunshine and get a little competitive spirit involved, then Sydney Racquet Club is the perfect place to go. Set up with five pickleball courts and three padel courts, it’s practically built for aesthetic team challenge. You’ll be guided through a quick rundown of the rules (although we urge you to throw them to the wind) before hitting the courts to enjoy rounds of gameplay.
If you’re looking to hire the whole venue out for a large team (or even to host clients), you’ll be able to include your own bespoke branding and catering options.
Looking for a long lunch on the court following your game? No problem, the team can accommodate that. Free-flowing drinks? Absolutely, who doesn’t need a little liquid courage to take on the boss head-to-head on the court? It’s the ultimate mix of competition, connection and fun.
Escape Rooms

If communication and problem-solving are what your crew are best at, why not try Escape Rooms? Locked in a room with only one door out, will you be able to work together to problem solve or run out of time. Escape rooms offer a unique, heart-racing experience where you’ll never know exactly where to look next. And thanks to the fun themes, there’s always an exciting twist about to happen.
Volunteering

Christmas time is all about giving back, but that doesn’t mean that you can’t have a fun team day while doing so. There are plenty of charitable endeavours worth your time and energy, especially during the summer period.
Like most Aussies, we’ll be spending a good portion of the Christmas shutdown lying on a beach. But if you’ve happened to notice an increase in rubbish littering our shorelines, then it’s time to step into action and spend the day with your team and the incredible Emu Parade, cleaning up our beaches. Plus, as well as the good karma coming your way, you’ll even snag yourself a free coffee.
Team Trivia
Whether you take over your local pub’s trivia night or bring in a host, trivia is an easy way to spark your team’s competitive streak. From forgotten algebra to obscure pop-culture throwbacks, the questions guarantee plenty of laughs — and a few humbling moments. It’s a fun, low-pressure way to bond with colleagues and discover who’s secretly a genius in disguise.
