Radio host Carrie Bickmore has revealed the extent of her terrifying head injury.
While on Easter break, just one day before going on holiday with her family, the 45-year-old walked into the corner of a wall.
Revealing the extent of her injury on Instagram, the journalist confessed it looked like a “crime scene” afterwards.
“Blood spurting from my head,” she graphically described. “Got it glued back together so I could go on holiday with my family the next day 😳 Turns out I have hit a nerve.”
In the initial Instagram post, Carrie shared three images of her forehead injury. Despite the pain and admitting she was “healing terribly,” Carrie was all smiles in the photos.

The television host would have to undergo surgery after the grim mishap. “Scars are hot yeh? Face for radio,” she joked.
“Also randomly had a lady drop her carry on suitcase on my head. 🤣 God it hurt.”
In the following days, the former Project host has since shared an update on her gruesome condition, featuring photos of the 45-year-old’s skull wrapped in a bandage.
After professional assessment, she had cut her scalp “to the bone and cut an artery.”
“The surgeon had to repair nerve and muscle damage,” she revealed on Instagram stories. “Hurts so much but on the mend now.”
Various friends and co-workers flooded Carrie’s comment section with love, including Debra Lawrence, Sophie Monk, Michelle Bridges, and Sarah Harris.
