Pink has shared a sad health update; she will soon undergo multiple surgeries.
After cancelling a few US shows on her Trustfall world tour, the popstar revealed why in an emotional video posted to Instagram.
Pink has a torn bicep and serious damage in her knees thanks to the aerial acrobatics she performs during her live shows.
Doctors have advised the So What singer to have surgery.
“For the last couple of months, I have been performing with [a] torn bicep and two torn meniscus [cartilage in the knee],” Pink said in her video.
“So, I’m gonna have surgery in a week on my shoulder, and then I’m gonna have surgery in nine more weeks on my knee, and I’m gonna be the bionic woman,” she continued, with tears welling in her eyes.
Pink went on to promise her fans that the upcoming surgeries will not stop her from performing live in the future.
“I’m gonna come back, come back stronger and harder than I’ve ever done, because that’s what I do.”
It’s what she does indeed as this isn’t the first time Pink has had health issues.
In 2021, Pink underwent hip surgery as well as a double disc replacement.
In the caption of Pink’s video, she wrote a lengthy apology to those who had tickets to the cancelled shows.
“You deserve to be acknowledged and seen and cared for. I always try to be honest and transparent so here it is. Full refunds are being extended obviously. And just know that I did my absolute damndest to make it to every city I signed up for,” it read.
“I always try to honour my commitments 1000%. I almost always make the mark, but that doesn’t mean much to a person that feels disappointed in me right now. I’m really sorry. I hope one day to make it up to you.”
