Australian stars among the nominees for the 2026 BAFTA Awards

It has been a stellar award season for Rose Byrne, who has been nominated for a 2026 BAFTA Film Award.

Following the actress’ stellar performance in If I Had Legs I’d Kick You, Rose has earned multiple nods this award season including a Golden Globe award. Now, she has been nominated yet again for Best Leading Actress at the BAFTA Film Awards, competing against Kate Hudson, Emma Stone, Jessie Buckley, Chase Infiniti and Renate Reinsve.

And she isn’t the only Australian receiving international praise. For his role in the dark retelling of Guillermo del Toro’s Frankenstein, Jacob Elordi has been nominated for Best Supporting Actor.

The BAFTA Film Awards are less than a month away, on February 23, 2026 in London. Where the winners will be determined by the British Academy of Film and Television Arts’ voting members, including industry experts across film, TV and games.
