It’s typical for celebrities to rely on a stylist. Even their ‘casual’ street wear outfits that ‘just happen’ to be caught on camera are usually meticulously crafted by an expert. But Blake Lively isn’t like other celebrities; the fashion loving actress chooses her own clothes.
When asked why she is sans stylist by WWD, the actress, who is married to Ryan Reynolds, joked that she has “control issues and a big ego”. She then elaborated: “I love design and I love fashion, and it’s a way to be creative. In my job I get to be creative, but it’s over a period of time and so many other people are involved, whereas this is a beginning, middle, and end, and I get to be creative and there’s an end date in the near future.”
Those who watched Blake as Serena Van der Woodsen in the cult-classic series Gossip Girl will know that the “it girl” has always managed to turn heads – both on and off screen with her style. Loving bold colours and plenty of sequins, the stylish star knows how to bring suave sartorial elegance to any occasion. Here are her best looks to date.
