Is A Simple Favour 2 coming out?
Yes, a sequel to the 2018 film A Simple Favour is coming out!
It’s titled Another Simple Favour.
What will Another Simple Favour be about?
The first film was based on the book of the same name by Darcey Bell.
And the plots were fairly similar: Emily asks her friend Stephanie to pick up her son from school. However, Emily never comes to collect her boy and is presumed missing. And so, Stephanie takes it upon herself to investigate the disappearance.
However, there is no sequel book…
So far, all we know about the plot of Another Simple Favour stems from the official logline, which reads:
“Stephanie Smothers and Emily Nelson reunite on the island of Capri, Italy, for Emily’s extravagant wedding to a rich Italian businessman, which is interrupted by murder and betrayal.”
Who is in the cast?
Anna Kendrick and Blake Lively, the leading ladies from the first film, have returned for the sequel.
They will reprise their respective roles as Stephanie Smothers and Emily Nelson.
Henry Golding, Andrew Rannells, Bashir Salahuddin, Joshua Satine, and Ian Ho will also reprise their roles from the first film.
Allison Janney, Michele Morrone, Elena Sofia Ricci, Alex Newell, and Elizabeth Perkins are new additions to the Simple Favour universe, with Elizabeth taking over the role of Emily’s mother Margaret – Jean Smart portrayed the character in the first film.

Another Simple Favour will be released exclusively on Prime Video on May 1, 2025.
