Former winner of both Australian Idol and I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here Australia! Casey Donovan got together with her partner, Renee Sharples, in 2023. They met on a dating app during the COVID-19 pandemic.

In October 2024, Renee and Casey shared the happy news that they were engaged!

“Life happened, and so did this post… fashionably late to the gram!” Renee posted to Instagram about four months after they actually agreed to marry one another.

“21.06.24 on the strawberry moon of the winter solstice the love of my life asked me if I wanted to do this life together forever,” Casey wrote in her own post. “The day I met you, home was no longer a place it became a person and yes, you are a gypsy but there’s nobody else I would rather attach my wagon to on this beautiful road trip called life” and with that, I said yes! 🥰”

The couple have been quiet publicly about their wedding plans. However, Casey has started sharing some of her fertility journey on her Instagram. In April, she posted a carousel of images captioned: “Life lately…Highs, lows, grief, loss, friends, family, laughs, fertility treatment, quality time, reflection, connection, celebrations of love, new music, touring, new adventures, doing life with my one and only @renee.sharples and a little bit of cheekiness.”

Among the images was one of No.1 Fertility. Plus, there was a cheeky snap of her in a doctor’s office, likely receiving fertility treatments.

Following that post, on 20 April 2026, Casey posted a reel of her and partner Renee undergoing their first embryo transfer.
