It was a gripping grand finale on DWTS, with Kyle competing against Michael User, Trent Cotchin, Brittany Hockley, Felicity Ward and Shaun Micallef.

All of the celebrity contestants took to the dance floor to pour their hearts out. Brittany even dedicated her routine to husband Benjamin Siergrist.

Critiquing the contestants were DWTS judges Craig Revel Horwood, Helen Richey, Sharna Burgess and Mark Wilson.

But it was Kyle who truly impressed the room with a cultural performance to Mo’ju’s Native Tongue, and the actor even played the didgeridoo live.

Helen said it was “one of the best performances” she’s ever seen on DWTS

Following an audience vote, the DWTS 2025 competition was narrowed down to two competitors: Kyle and Shaun, with their dance partners Lily Cornish and Ash-Leigh Hunter respectively.

Shaun performed a musical theatre-style dance that Sharna praised as “spectacular” and said the “entertainment was through the roof.”

But alas, there can only be one champion. DWTS hosts Sonia Kruger and Dr Chris Brown certainly built anticipation before annoying Kyle and Lily the winners.

The winning dance partners scored 40 points, while Shaun and Ash trailed just behind with 37 points.

“I’m feeling mixed emotions, as it’s come to an end,” Kyle said.

“We built such a strong family here and you can see all the beautiful people behind us. It’s amazing to be able to stand here and hold this trophy, knowing all the hard work we put in has paid off.”

As the winner, Kyle awarded $20,000 for his chosen charity, The Indigenous Literacy Foundation which works with remote Indigenous communities.
