In great news for Ed Sheeran fans, he has added four new shows to the Aussie leg of his tour of Australia and New Zealand in 2026. Perth, Sydney, Brisbane and Melbourne are the cities that will receive the extra stadium shows with tickets going on sale Tuesday July 29.

Before announcing his tour last month, the singer had hinted that he was going to tour Down Under while sightseeing in Madrid, Spain.

The four-time Grammy Award winner posted a TikTok , caoptioning it “Came to Madrid for the shows, stayed for the vibes”. 

If you’re wondering how an Australian tour fits into this, a fan commented on the TikTok, “How does coming back to Australia soon sound to you?”

Yes, Ed Sheeran is wrapping up his +−=÷× Tour (pronounced Mathematics Tour) in 2025. 

Ed kicked off the +−=÷× Tour in April 2022 and has performed it across Europe, the UK, the US, Canada, Asia, and numerous other places over the last three years… He even brought the +−=÷× Tour to Australia in February 2023.

So far in 2025, Ed has performed the show in Bhutan, India, China, United Arab Emirates, Qatar, Bahrain, and Spain. 

And from June 6, 2025, Ed will perform in several European venues before ending the +−=÷× Tour for good in Germany on September 7, 2025. 

Is Ed Sheeran coming to Australia in 2026?

Yes! As aforementioned, Ed Sheeran has confirmed that he is bringing his Loop Tour to Australia and New Zealand in 2026. It begins in Auckland.

And these Aussie shows will likely mark the start of a new tour, as Ed will release a brand new album, titled Play, on September 12, 2025. 

On the announcement, Ed said that The Loop Tour will feature a “new stage, new tricks, new set, new songs, old songs.”

Ed often features local artists as his supporting acts on his tour shows. However, he hasn’t revealed who will be supporting him Down Under just yet.

When are tickets to Ed Sheeran’s tour in Australia on sale?

Telstra presale tickets go on sale from Friday 25 July, 9.30am (Local Time). Frontier Member pre-sale tickets go on sale on Monday, 28 July, at 10.30am (Local Time). And General tickets go on sale from Tuesday, 29 July, at 11.30am (Local Time). This includes the four recently announced extra shows.

According to Ticketek, ticket prices range from $109.90–$249.90.

Are kids allowed in the Ed Sheeran concert?

According to Ed Sheeran’s official website, “no children under the age of 5 are allowed” at his concerts. 

The website also states that “fans under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult.”
