The Odyssey is forecasted to be the biggest movie of 2026, but it was just upstaged by Matt Damon’s four daughters and beautiful wife, Luciana.
For the World Premiere in London, England, the Oscar winner was all smiles alongside his wife and daughters: Isabella, Gia, Stella and Alexia, as they posed for photos.
A rare moment that even brought Matt to tears.
“They’re all having fun while I’m working, but I’m so happy they’re here,” he told Entertainment Tonight. “Everybody’s so grown-up. Like, I got a real dad teary moment seeing them today.”
With more than 20 years under Damon and Lucina’s belt – following a unique meet cute, the pair have had many wonderful moments together. The Weekly is revealing them all below.

Have you ever watched a cheesy rom-com where the meet-cute moment is just completely unbelievable? Well, Matt and Luciana’s first interaction goes along these lines.
While filming the comedy Stuck On You in Miami in April 2003, Matt ventured out to a club in South Beach, where Luciana happened to be working as a bartender.
In Matt’s version of the story, he saw Luciana from across the room and immediately fell in love. But, the Argentinian-born has a different story.
“He had started getting recognised and asked for pictures and autographs, and then it got kind of aggressive because people are drinking and stuff,” she explained to Vogue Australia.
“So he came and hid behind my bar … [wanting to] just hang out back there and have a drink. He says ‘oh I saw you and I really wanted to talk to you’.”
Naturally, Luciana put him to work serving drinks. Luckily, Matt had trained as a bartender for a film previously.
At the time, Luciana was the proud mother to four-year-old Alexia, born in 1999, from her previous marriage with Arbello Barroso. So, when he asked her out, Luciana initially declined.
“That was one of the things he loved, that I had a daughter,” she told the publication. “He said, ‘I love that you’re a mum and that’s your priority.’”
Luciana clearly couldn’t deny their connection, because two years later in December 2005 they wed in New York City.
Ten years after meeting, the lovebirds celebrated with a spontaneous trip to Scott Campbell’s famous tattoo parlor in NYC. But in doing so, Matt wanted to fulfill a promise to his late friend, Heath Ledger, who passed away in 2008.
“I told [Heath] if I ever got a tattoo, he was my first phone call,” Matt told GQ in 2021.
Matt walked away with two tattoos that day: his wife’s nickname ‘Lucy’ on his upper right arm, and a matching tattoo with Luciana of a sketch Heath had done before his passing.

Matt is the proud father of four children, Alexia, Isabella, Gia, and Stella.
“I jumped into the deep end with Lucy,” Matt told Parade in 2011. “Alexia was already four. I was an extra dad. The only way I can describe it – it sounds stupid, but – at the end of How the Grinch Stole Christmas, you know how his heart grows, like, five times its size? Everything is full; it’s just full all the time.”
Less than a year after their wedding, their second daughter Isabella arrived on June 11, 2006, followed by Gia, born on August 20, 2008.
Last to arrive was Stella, born on October 20, 2010, with Matt telling People that transitioning from three to four children was “pretty crazy” and created “a whole new dynamic.”
Sometime between their third and fourth daughter, the family packed their bags and moved from Miami to New York City. By doing so, they hoped their children would see “different people from different walks of life, different languages and different socio-economic backgrounds,” Matt told The Guardian.
Given Matt’s public career, a lot of the choices they’ve made as parents are intentional. Coming from humble beginnings, they were adamant on not spoiling their children. One way they avoided this was donating all the free gifts sent to the family home.
“They don’t need anything. So we send everything on to people who need it,” Matt once told Today. “When people send stuff to my kids, my kids have everything they need so we pass it right on. This is the life we’re giving them.”
