My Kitchen Rules is all set to return in 2024…
Meaning there’s new contestants ready to cook up a storm.
They’ll have to impress judges Manu Feildel and Colin Fassnidge during the initial Instant Restaurant phase of the competition if they want a shot at the $100,000 prize.
We wonder who’s got what it takes this year… Meet all the My Kitchen Rules 2024 contestants below!
Who are the ‘gatecrasher’ contestants for My Kitchen Rules in 2024?
After the first elimination of the 2024 season, three new ‘gatecrasher’ teams entered the competition.
Janie and Maddy are a mother and daughter duo from Victoria. Both say that cooking and food brings them “joy” and can’t wait to compete on MKR.
Mother and son Caz and Fergus hail from New South Wales and “enjoy bonding over a glass of wine and teasing each other relentlessly.” We have to say we’re a little biassed when it comes to this team as when asked what’s the first dish they remember preparing, Caz gave us a little shout out and said: “Chocolate mousse from The Australian Women’s Weekly cooking class cookbook.”
Robert and Andrea are a married couple who are eager to show off German food as they’re both originally from there! Robert and Andrea both think preparation is key when it comes to cooking and have the same go-to main dish: roast pork.
Who are the contestants for My Kitchen Rules in 2024?
Simone and Viviana are best friends who are based in Queensland but originally come from Italy… Which is why it’s no surprise that the pair want to serve up “modern Italian with a twist” when they compete on My Kitchen Rules.
Viviana fondly remembers making a “gnocchi alla romana” with her grandmother as a child, so we wonder if a version of that will be on the menu during the Instant Restaurant phase of MKR.
We say a ‘version’ as Simone describes himself as “an adventurous cook, taking old classics and innovating them in new ways.”
Brother and sister Danny and Sonia are also based in Queensland and describe their dynamic as: “Fast and furious with passion. It’s a bro ‘n sis combo so there may be some debate about processes but at the end of the day we will have each other’s back and get the job done!”
Couple Hannah and Lawrence from Western Australia will get engaged if they win My Kitchen Rules! “If we win, I’m dropping on one knee, that’s non-negotiable,” Lawrence says.
Mike and Pete, longtime friends, are incredibly confident about their chances… “We are going to have one of the best instant restaurants in MKR history,” Mike says.
Brothers Rob and Liam – who describe themselves as “the most competitive brothers in Australia” – are ready to cook up a storm; with Rob on the grill and Liam polishing everything to perfection…
And Ash and Cassie are young mums from Adelaide, South Australia. The women are hoping to impress with healthy Asian-inspired meals.
The new season of My Kitchen Rules will premiere on Channel 7 and 7Plus on September 9 at 7.30pm.
