The cast of The Breakfast Club have reunited for the first time since the classic John Hughes film was released.
On April 12, 2025, Molly Ringwald, Emilio Estevez, Judd Nelson, Ally Sheedy and Anthony Michael Hall took to the stage at C2E2 (a pop-culture convention) in Chicago.
“I feel very emotional and moved to have us all together,” Molly told the audience before she and the others, as well as moderator Josh Horowitz, discussed The Breakfast Club in great detail.
“I was really happy when we were making this movie, we all really; I don’t know if you can tell but we all really do love each other. It was a dream,” Ally later divulged to the crowd.

“A joyful experience.”
Molly, Emilio, Judd, Ally and Anthony Michael reunited in honour of The Breakfast Club’s 40th anniversary.
The five of them have not all been together (at least publicly) since 1985 as Emilio has long avoided Breakfast Club reunions – he is still trying to distance himself from the Brat Pack label that was bestowed upon him as well as Molly, Judd, Ally, Anthony Michael, Rob Lowe, Andrew McCarthy, and Demi Moore.

However, Emilio decided to appear at C2E2 with his old cast mates as it “felt like it was time.”
“Somebody told me that Molly said, ‘Well, does Emilio just not like us?’ And that broke my heart. I thought, ‘No, of course, I love all of them.’ And this just made sense, so here I am,” he explained.
“This was just something that finally I felt I needed to do, just for myself. But this one felt special,” the 62-year-old continued.
“We’re here in Chicago, where we made the film. It’s obviously the 40th anniversary, and it just felt like it was time.”
