King Charles and Queen Camilla will travel to the United States this month, where they will attend a banquet at the White House with President Donald Trump and First Lady Melania Trump.
The state visit coincides with the 250th anniversary of American Independence and will “celebrate the historic connections and the modern bilateral relationship between the UK and the US”, according to the palace.
Their Majesties will be in the US from April 27 to 30, with the banquet to take places on April 28.

President Trump announced details of the trip on his Truth Social social media platform.
“This momentous occasion will be even more special this year, as we commemorate the 250th Anniversary of our Great Country. I look forward to spending time with the King, whom I greatly respect. It will be TERRIFIC!” He wrote
King Charles will visit Bermuda once he leaves the US. It will be his first Royal Visit as Monarch to a British Overseas Territory. No further details of the trip have been announced.
