Nine celebrities you didn’t know had beauty brands

From Serena Williams to Brad Pitt.

From West End star Lillie Langtry becoming the poster-girl for Pears Soap in 1882 to silent film star Irene Castle launching an eponymous fashion line in the ’20s – celebrity culture and business have been closely enmeshed since the birth of fame.

From alcohol brands to clothing lines, celebrities don’t just sing, dance and act anymore – they’re entrepreneurs, too. Over the last two decades, the celebs have been launching beauty, fragrance, haircare and even nail polish lines en masse.

Here are nine celebrity makeup brands you may not have heard of.

01

Serena Williams

Wyn Beauty

Tennis superstar Serena Williams has pivoted from dominating the world of sports to dominating the world of beauty. Serena announced that she is launching her very own line of makeup calling ‘Wyn Beauty’ – a line that has been six years in the making.

“I’ve always been into beauty,” the tennis champ told PEOPLE. “But when you’re a tennis player, there’s only so much that you can do because you’re out there on the court for hours. You move and sweat a lot, and you wipe everything away.”

Serena also said the inspiration to create her own like of beauty products was sparked by decades of issues finding products to match her skin.

“When I would travel to places 20 years ago before 40 shades of foundation existed, I had to be the biggest advocate for my makeup. I couldn’t rely on makeup artists to have my colour, and I had to learn how to do my own makeup.”

02

Victoria Beckham

Victoria Beckham Beauty

From being a former Spice Girl to launching her own eponymous fashion label and now carving herself as a beauty mogul, what can’t Victoria Beckham do? Long before the ‘clean girl aesthetic’ swept through the beauty community, Victoria Beckham was channelling her ethos of clean, understated and quality makeup through her brand, Victoria Beckham Beauty.

The standout products from the brand are definitely the chunky, shimmery eyeshadow sticks and the satin kajal liners.

Jennifer Aniston

LolaVie

Jennifer Aniston‘s ‘the Rachel’ haircut defined an entire decade of hair trends, so it’s hardly surprising that the actress forayed into the world of haircare. In 2021, Jennifer launched the LolaVie brand in 2021 to great anticipation. Since then, it’s had great success across the US and received rave reviews from experts and beauty-lovers.

03

Drew Barrymore

Flower Beauty

Before heavyweights like Selena Gomez’s Rare Beauty and Rihanna’s Fenty Beauty entered the celeb beauty brand game, Drew Barrymore was there first with Flower Beauty. With nothing over $16, the brand is not only affordable, but great quality too.

04

Brad Pitt

Le Domaine

Brad Pitt unexpectedly threw his hat into the ring of celebrity makeup brands in September 2022 when he launched Le Domaine – a genderless skincare brand. Soon after launching the brand, Brad revealed that it was the support of his famous ex, Gwyneth Paltrow, and her own beauty brand Goop, that inspired the actor to go into skincare.

“I love what Gwyneth’s done [with Goop],” Brad told British Vogue. “She is still a really dear friend, and she has built this empire. She has always had that in her as a curator, and it’s been a lovely creative outlet for her.”

05

Michelle Pfeiffer

Henry Rose

Rather than launch a skincare line or cosmetics, Michelle Pfeiffer dove into the world of fragrance when she launched Henry Rose in 2019. Michelle said that she was inspired by the clean beauty trend and noticed that the fragrance industry hadn’t followed suit.

“A lot of the beauty categories were moving toward clean, but fragrance wasn’t,” Michelle told the Cut.
