Is there a new series of Gogglebox Australia 2025?
Yes! As aforementioned, Gogglebox Australia will return in 2025 but only on Channel Ten and 10Play — not Foxtel.
The new season starts on Thursday, August 28, 2025, at 7:30pm.
Who’s on Gogglebox Australia 2025?
Returning for the 22nd season of Gogglebox Australia are best friends Anastasia and Fay, The Dalton family, married couple Lee and Keith, siblings Tim and Leanne, surfers Milo and Nic, besties Adam and Symon, The Delpechitra family, sisters Mia and Bree with their friend Lainey, and friends Kevin, Bob and Jared.
Also joining the season are married couple Sarah-Marie and Matty Fahd along with their two sons Malik and Lyon, and Uncle Jad.
How much do they get paid on Gogglebox Australia?
There’s never been an official confirmation of how much Gogglebox Australia cast members get paid.
However, in early 2022, it was falsely reported that Hamish Blake and Zoë Foster Blake were paid $500,000 for appearing in one episode of Celebrity Gogglebox.
The Daily Mail soon after wrote an article claiming that the cast members were furious upon learning this as they are allegedly only paid a “$1200 ‘location fee’ per house for each day of filming”.
Hamish cleared up the false report in April 2022 though and told The Kyle & Jackie O Show that he and his wife were definitely not paid half a million dollars.
“That blew me away,” Hamish said.
“Do you know how much we got paid? $5000. Five, zero, zero, zero. Everyone gets the same thing!”
Why did the Kidd family leave Gogglebox?
The Kidd family — parents Stuart and Janet, son Michael, his wife Elena, and youngest son Roger — appeared in the first two seasons of Gogglebox Australia.
Producer David McDonald said they did not return for Season 3 because of availability issues.
Sadly, Stuart died in May 2018. The Season 8 premiere of Gogglebox Australia was dedicated to him.
Why did Sarah-Marie leave Gogglebox?
Matty, Sarah Marie, and Uncle Jad joined Gogglebox in 2017. Matty and Sarah Marie’s son Malik also appeared on the show.
However, Sarah Marie decided to step back from Gogglebox in 2023 after she gave birth to her and Matty’s second child, Leon.
She did not return in 2024 either. However, the now mum-of-two made a grand reutrn to the beloved reality show in 2025.
Her return was first teased in an Instagram post shared on Valentine’s Day 2025, featuring herself and Matty smooching on the couch.
