Out of all of this year’s Married at First Sight (MAFS) couples, Jeff and Rhi are the only couple still together.
Their love story certainly got off to an awkward start; like their fellow MAFS participants, Carina and Paul, the couple knew each other before entering the experiment.
In fact, Jeff and Rhi dated for a significant period of time before mutually ending things.
“It fizzled, but we remained friends… We’ve even gotten coffee together [since splitting up],” Rhi told MAFS producers on the day of her and Jeff’s wedding.
Luckily for the MAFS experts — John Aiken, Mel Schilling and Alessandra Rampolla — both Jeff and Rhi weren’t too disappointed and were willing to give it another shot.
“We’ll have to really give the experiment a crack to see if there’s potential for a relationship rather than a friendship,” Rhi said.
And give it a crack they did!
After a few weeks, it was the clear the two had become more than friends.
They were all smiles, kisses and hand holding.
Not to mention, halfway through the experiment the two admitted during a Commitment Ceremony that they’d been intimate.
Unlike every other couple from this season, Jeff and Rhi didn’t have a single argument or become entangled in any drama, so it was unsurprising when, during the Final Vows, they both decided to keep seeing each other outside of the experiment.
“Rhi, I am falling in love with you. Rhi, you’re it for me; I choose you and I hope this is forever,” Jeff said in his vows.
“Jeff, I have never been in love before but there’s something different here. And right now, I can say, I am falling in love with you,” Rhi said in hers.
But, are Jeff and Rhi still together?
We’re happy to report that the couple are still together; they’ve been spotted multiple times out and about together since filming wrapped.
We must admit, we’re excited to hear how their relationship is going post-MAFS… The Reunion can’t come soon enough!
The final two ‘Reunion’ episodes of Married at First Sight will air on Channel 9 and 9now on Sunday, April 6 and Monday, April 7.
