The world-famous rockstar, Jon Bon Jovi, has shared his thoughts on becoming a grandfather to his son, Jake Bongiovi, and his wife, Millie Bobby Brown’s adopted daughter, in a podcast.
“It’s crazy, but great. Wonderful,” he shared in the podcast hosted by Bunnie XO.
“They adopted a girl, we met the baby obviously and immediately that becomes your grandchild, you know what I mean?”
The girl, whose name hasn’t been released by the young couple, is the Bon Jovi’s frontman’s first grandchild, and he’s clearly smitten.
“It’s beautiful. I want to see pictures, like, every other day,” he shared. “I’m that pain in the butt guy already and, yeah, it’s cool.”

Yes. Jon Bon Jovi married his high school sweetheart, Dorothea Hurley, in Las Vegas on April 29 1989, in the iconic Graceland Wedding Chapel. He was on tour at the time and made a secret detour to tie the knot.

When did Jake Bongiovi and Millie Bobby Brown get married?
As mentioned, Jake is the third-born child of Jon and Dorothea. Jake followed his father’s footsteps into the limelight, working as a model and actor.
Jake and Millie started dating in 2021 and made their red carpet debut as an official couple at the BAFTA Awards in March 2022. They shared the news of their engagement just over a year later, in April 2023, on their respective Instagram accounts. Then, in May 2024, they married in a private ceremony and had a bigger ceremony at Villa Cetinale in Italy that September.
There was a lot of media speculation around their wedding as they were quite young by modern standards to marry. Jake was 22 years old, and Millie was 20.
However, Jon shared in the podcast that he and Dorothea supported the marriage.
“They got married really young, but we blessed it because we get it, you know?” he said. “They’re sort of mature beyond their years. She comes from a family where her parents are still together, and they married very young.”
“Her and Jake fell in love, and we just thought, ‘OK, we’ll support this,'” he shared. “And it’s working out.”
The happy couple celebrated their one-year anniversary with some sweet snaps on Instagram.
“One year in the books, many more to go. I love you so much my beautiful wife. Happy anniversary,” Jake wrote in his post. To which she replied, “Love you endlessly Jakey.”
Millie’s post read: “1 year married 🤍 I love being your wife.” Jake responded to hers with “Best wife ever, I love you so much.”

Millie began her career in 2013 at just 9 years old. But her big break came in Netflix’s Stranger Things science fiction series, where she portrays the mysterious and powerful Eleven.
For her performance in the series, Millie was nominated for an Emmy and Screen Actors Guild Awards (and she won the SAG Award for Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Drama Series). The series will release its fifth and final season in December 2025. However, she’s also gone on to star in other Netflix projects such as Enola Holmes (she portrays the titular character, who is the sister of Sherlock Holmes played by Henry Cavill; the film also stars Sam Clafin and Helena Bonham Carter), Damsel, and The Electric State.
In the podcast, Jon praised her work ethic.
“She’s a sweetheart and she’s a hard worker, I tell her all the time how much I admire her, because her work ethic is unbelievable,” he shared.
When did Millie Bobby Brown and Jake Bongiovi adopt their daughter?
On 21 August 2025, Millie and Jake shared the news that they had adopted a daughter.
Their statement read: “This summer, we welcomed our sweet baby girl through adoption. We are beyond excited to embark on this beautiful next chapter of parenthood in both peace and privacy.”
The new parents haven’t revealed their daughter’s name.
