In a Married At First Sight (MAFS) first, Lauren returns to the experiment to be matched with someone new: Clint.
Both Lauren and Clint were nervous the morning of their wedding — Lauren because of what happened with Eliot, and Clint because… Well, marrying a stranger is obviously nerve-wracking.
Initially, things weren’t looking good.
Lauren was very guarded and a tad bitter during the ceremony.
She told MAFS producers that she wasn’t impressed with Clint’s vows and didn’t approve of Clint’s dog breed of choice.
Furthermore, Lauren’s vows weren’t really vows; they instead just explained that she’d entered the experiment before but left after being dumped on the honeymoon.

Luckily, Clint was very sympathetic.
“I don’t know the extent of what happened but I feel for her,” he told producers. “I want to hear more about it, I want to understand it; I just want to be there for her.”
So are Lauren and Clint still together?
Well, after the ceremony, the newlywed couple had a private conversation and Lauren confided everything that had happened with Eliot.
And it was during this conversation that Lauren started to feel a spark.
“He seemed genuine and we have things in common… I think it’s a good start,” Lauren told producers not long after.
During the wedding reception, Clint vulnerably revealed that he was previously in a 10-year relationship and went to therapy to work on himself after it ended.
This made Lauren like Clint even more.
“It shows he’s willing and committed to doing the work,” Lauren told the producers, with a small smile on her face.

“Clint is way better than what I was expecting. After such a tumultuous time with Eliot, I was reluctant to go through it again, but I’m happy I turned up today,” she ended up confessing.
And despite Lauren’s initial cold shoulder and apprehension, Clint was very happy with his bride.
“I think the experts have nailed it… There’s definitely some spark there for me,” he said.
Of course, the promo for the next MAFS episode shows Lauren and Eliot arguing at the dinner party, so only time will tell how Clint takes it all.
Unfortunately, the Commitment Ceremony didn’t end well for the couple.
It turns out, for Lauren, it was the other newlyweds who were her main problem and what Lauren referred to as their “boganic” behaviour. Something the wider group took as an insult.
In the end, both chose to leave the experiment — Lauren actually wrote “Leave-ing the zoo!!”.
However, they haven’t necessarily decided to leave each other. Lauren said she might even visit Clint in Tassie. But they are no longer still together (on our television screens).
In fact, recent reports suggest that Clint may have found love somewhere else…with fellow newlywed, Jacqui. Watch this space!
