In coordinated pink outfits, Reese Witherspoon made her first public appearance with boyfriend Oliver Haarmann.
The couple were all smiles as they stepped out for the June 23 premiere of Elle, the spin off to Reese’s iconic film Legally Blonde releasing July 1, 2026 on Prime Video. The highly anticipated prequel series will follow Reese’s character, Elle Woods in high school, played by 25-year-old US actor, Lexi Minetree.
For the celebration, the 50-year-old star embodied Elle by wearing a bright pink lace dress, while her financier boyfriend wore a matching pink tie and classic navy suit.
Oliver is an incredibly successful financier who founded Searchlight Capital Partners in 2010. He is a Brown University and Harvard University graduate, with his career beginning in London at a global investment firm.
He also started a charity called Surgo Foundation with his wife at-the-time, Mala Gaonkar, which analysed global problems to find functional solutions. Mala and Oliver divorced sometime before 2022.
Reese and Oliver were first linked together in July 2024 after sharing dinner at L’Artusi in New York. They’ve been seen only a handful of times since, including a vacation in Saint-Tropez, wandering SoHo, and leaving London’s Barbican Centre.
A source close to Reese informed People they are both very private and “don’t do PDA.”
“They would much rather have a night at home together or small dinner parties they have thrown for their friends to meet,” the source claimed.
“When they’re together it’s clear they are both very sharp, they both have similar intelligent energies and it really is beautiful for her friends to see. Reese and Oliver have been meeting each other’s friends and families over the last few months and are very much in love.”
This is Reese’s first relationship since confirming her divorce from Jim Toth in March 2023, just before their 12th anniversary.
At the time, the pair shared a joint statement, which read: “We have enjoyed so many wonderful years together and are moving forward with deep love, kindness and mutual respect for everything we have created together.
“Our biggest priority is our son and our entire family as we navigate this next chapter. These matters are never easy and are extremely personal.”
