Stevie Nicks has announced she’s working on a new album.
The legend was inducted into the Pollstar Hall of Fame on April 16, 2025, and during her acceptance speech, she said:
“I’m actually making a record right now… I call it ‘the ghost record.’ It just really kinda happened in the last couple of weeks because of, you know, the [LA wild]fires.
“I was sitting in a hotel for 92 days, and at some point during that last part of the 92 days, I said, ‘You know what? I feel like I’m on the road, but there’s no shows. I’m just sitting here by myself because everybody else is at the house, doing all the remediations and everything, and it’s just me, sitting here.’
“And I thought, ‘You need to go back to work.’ And I did.”

Stevie went on to share that she’s already penned seven songs for the album, and she described them as:
“Autobiographical, real stories where I’m not pulling any punches for probably the first time in my life. They are not airy-fairy songs that you are wondering who they’re about, but you don’t really get it. They’re real stories of memories of mine, of fantastic men!”
The upcoming album marks Stevie’s first new solo album in 14 years.
When is Stevie Nicks’ new album coming out?
The former Fleetwood Mac singer has not yet shared the release date; watch this space.
Who is the new album about?
As aforementioned, Stevie announced that the songs on her upcoming album were inspired by “fantastic men.”

So far, she’s confessed that one song is about an awkward interaction she had with the late Prince, after the Purple Rain premiere.
“I’ve written a song about Prince because we were friends,” Stevie said at the Pollstar Hall of Fame event.
She recounted that she tried gifting Prince a “24-karat necklace with little gold hearts on it,” but he wasn’t impressed.
“He said — and this is in the song, this is where this record began — ‘You always bring me a gift. You never bring me you.’”
Chills; we can’t wait for this album!
