Talkin’ ‘Bout Your Generation is coming back… Without Boomers

Only Gens X, Y and Z will be represented.

In 2009, the game show Talkin’ ‘Bout Your Generation first premiered on Channel 10.

Hosted by Shaun Micallef, the show pitted three teams – each representing a different generation – against each other in a fast-paced quiz testing their knowledge of pop culture across the decades.

The team captains were Amanda Keller, who represented Baby Boomers, Charlie Pickering, who represented Generation X, and Josh Thomas, who represented Generation Y.

After four seasons and two Logie Awards, Talkin’ ‘Bout Your Generation ended in 2012.

But it’s officially coming back!

The new iteration – which has been slightly retitled to ‘Talkin’ ‘Bout Your Gen’ – will be hosted by Anne Edmonds and will premiere “soon” on Channel 10 and 10Play

As for the team captains, Dave Hughes will represent Generation X, Tommy Little will represent Generation Y (aka Millennials), and Anisa Nandaula will represent Generation Z (aka Zoomers).

There will be no Boomer team.

Of course, this isn’t the first reboot of Talking’ ‘Bout Your Generation, nor is it the first time Boomers have been left out.

In 2018, Channel Nine aired a revival season, for which Shaun Micallef returned to host.

The team captains were Robyn Butler, Andy Lee and Laurence Boxhall, who respectively represented Generations X, Y and Z.
