On the 2026 season of I’m a Celebrity Get Me Out of Here, many were introduced to Matt Zukowski for the first time. However, many have been following his media impact over the years. And his relationship with Tammy Hembrow really made an impact on the Australian media landscape. So who is he and who is she and how did it start and end?

Who is Matt Zukowski?
Matt is a media personality and co-host of the Where’s Your Head At? podcast with Anna McEvoy. He first came to prominence after his participation in the second season of Love Island Australia in 2019. He was a contestant and ended the season as one of the runners-up. It was on Love Island where he met Anna, who is also an alumna of the show.
Originally from Melbourne, Australia, he worked in modelling (including in fashion hubs like Milan and London). He also trained in wrestling, performing under the name Charlie Matthews, aka the “man who won the genetic lottery.”
Matt has also become a vocal advocate for male infertility. He was born with a rare condition where he doesn’t produce sperm and therefore cannot father children naturally.
“The doctor called me and said, ‘Look, Matt, I was going to call you in, but I’ll do it over the phone, you have no sperm.’” Matt shared in an interview. “I was like, ‘Oh, I’ve got low sperm?’ and he’s like, ‘No Matthew, you’ve got no sperm.’”
Matt has spoken about the emotional impact the diagnosis had on him. At first, he struggled with it, but he’s said he’s not ashamed of his situation and tries to be upfront about it when dating, often telling women early on in their dating.
“When I start seeing a girl, it’s one of the first things I tell them… My ex, I told her on the second date and said, ‘Hey, I can’t have kids.’”
It came up on I’m a Celebrity,” when he shared that he didn’t have any children, saying, “I can’t have kids. I shoot blanks.” However, he is the stepfather to Tammy’s three children.
Who is Tammy Hembrow?
Tammy Hembrow is an Australian fitness influencer, entrepreneur, and social media personality originally from Queensland. She came to fame through her social media as a fitness influencer. Originally documenting her fitness, pregnancy and postpartum transformations. She currently has 16.8 million followers on Instagram alone.
Thanks to online following, Tammy has built a substantial fitness and lifestyle empire. She is the founder of the Tammy Fit App, which she describes as what would happen if “your personal trainer and nutritionist had a baby.” The app offers workouts, meal plans and mindfulness sessions. Tammy also co-founded Selfish Supps, a supplements company with her sisters Emilee and Amy. She also founded the Saski Collection, an activewear brand which she shut down in late 2025.

Tammy is also a mum to Wolf and Saskia with ex-partner Reece Hawkins, and Posy with her former fiancé Matt Poole.
How did Matt Zukowski and Tammy Hembrow get together?
On the 2026 season of I’m a Celebrity, Matt shared with fellow celeb, 90s-music icon, that he “slid into her DMs” as in he messaged her on Instagram. In October 2023, they went public with their relationship.
After just three months of dating, Matt proposed to Tammy while on holiday in the Maldives. A year later, in November 2024, Matt and Tammy married in a high-profile ceremony at Chateau Du Soleil in Byron Bay, NSW.
When did Tammy and Matt break up?
In June 2025, Tammy shared on her TikTok page that she and Matt were getting a divorce just seven months after their marriage. Before her announcement, many of her fans and people in the media had shared rumours that there were issues in their relationship. However, Tammy didn’t want to get into the details, just share that their marital relationship was over.
“I’m not one to bring anyone down. I want to be sensitive to everyone involved, and I don’t want to talk about anyone but myself,” she said. “I haven’t made the best choices when it comes to relationships and I’m really good at putting on rose-coloured glasses.”
