“Blue lights, red lights, we gon’ get real wild tonight” because The Perfect Couple is getting a Season 2!
Here’s everything you need to know…
Is The Perfect Couple going to have a Season 2?
Yes, Netflix has greenlit a second season of The Perfect Couple.
However, Season 2 will not continue the plot of Season 1 – meaning the series will become an anthology series like The White Lotus or Fargo.
Like Season 1 though, Season 2 will be based on a Elin Hilderbrand novel; this time round, the season will be based on the 2024 book Swan Song.

At this point, there’s no word on casting but Nicole Kidman, who starred in the first season of The Perfect Couple, has signed on as an executive producer.
What is the plot of The Perfect Couple?
Season 1 of The Perfect Couple follows Amelia, a young woman about to marry into the wealthy Winbury family on Nantucket.
However, when a dead body is discovered the morning of the wedding, secrets unravel, and everyone becomes a suspect.
What is the plot of Swan Song?
As aforementioned, Season 2 of The Perfect Couple will be based on Swan Song.
The plot of the book kicks off when the affluent Richardsons arrive in Nantucket and purchase a $22 million summer home.

But when a devastating fire destroys the mansion and the Richardsons’ personal assistant goes missing, Police Chief Ed Kapenash is forced to postpone his retirement.
And as poor Ed investigates, he begins to uncover hidden secrets and complex relationships within the tight-knit Nantucket community..
If you’ve read The Perfect Couple, you’ll know that Chief Ed Kapenash was the main police officer investigating the murder at the heart of the story.
But for Season 1 of The Perfect Couple, the Ed character was changed to Chief Dan Carter, and was played by Michael Beach.
It’ll be interesting to see if Michael Beach reprises the role in Season 2, and whether Ed will be introduced or also changed to Dan.
