Adore Beauty opens its first brick and mortar store in Melbourne

And with more stores to come, here are some of our favourites from its trending products.

Popular online makeup and skincare retailer Adore Beauty is taking on the likes of Sephora and Mecca with the opening of its first physical store in Melbourne on February 1, 2025.

The news that the popular beauty store now has a physical space, is welcome to many who prefer to test out and swatch makeup and skincare before purchasing. On opening day, makeup lovers started queuing before dawn to be among the first inside the new store. By the time the doors opened at 9 am, the line of fans ran through Westfield Southland.

Adore Beauty was founded by Kate Morris at the tender age of 21 years old, in her garage in Melbourne in early 2000. After working at cosmetic counters, she realised that many people were intimidated by department stores. So, she came up with Adore Beauty. Kate remained with Adore until 2023. Now over 20 years later, the brand is doing a bit of a 180 under its new CEO Sacha Laing, who’s looking at new areas in which to expand the business.

The Australian-owned and operated beauty retailer is the official stockist of over 260 brands. Here are our favourites of their “most viral beauty products” of 2024.
