Australian actress Angourie Rice’s impressive filmography explored

Angourie Rice is the talented Australian actress that has taken the entertainment world by storm.

Born on January 1, 2001, in Perth, Angourie’s rise to fame can be attributed to her extraordinary acting skills and an impressive body of work that belies her young age.

Angourie first captured the hearts of audiences and critics alike with her breakthrough performance in the 2016 neo-noir comedy film The Nice Guys, where she starred alongside A-listers Ryan Gosling and Russell Crowe.

The Last Thing He Told Me

Based on the book of the same name and produced by Reese Witherspoon, Jennifer Garner stars in The Last Thing He Told Me – a miniseries that follows Jennifer’s character Hannah Hall. Hannah is forced to form a relationship with her teenage step-daughter (who’s never warmed to her and is played by Angourie) when her husband mysteriously disappears. Intriguing and easy to watch, Jennifer and Angourie have some great moments on screen together in The Last Thing He Told Me.

Senior Year is initially set in 2002 and follows Stephanie, a popular high school cheerleader. It seems Stephanie has a perfect life, but when she falls off the top of a cheerleading pyramid, she falls into a coma. Flashforward 20 years and Stephanie finally awakes and must deal with the fact that she’s no longer 17 years old… Rebel Wilson stars as the older Stephanie and Angourie plays – you guessed it – the younger Stephanie. This movie’s great because it shows off Angourie’s rarely utilised comedy chops.

Mare of Easttown

Hollywood heavyweight Kate Winslet stars as Mare and won numerous awards for this miniseries. Angourie plays Mare’s daughter in Mare of Easttown and, again, holds her own against Kate’s powerhouse performance.

Black Mirror: Rachel, Jack and Ashley Too

She plays Rachel, a teenage girl who receives an AI robotic doll modelled after her favourite pop star Ashley O, played by Miley Cyrus, for her birthday.

MCU Spider-Man Trilogy
