Another year of Australian Idol, means another slate of contestants!
And while fans are convinced they already know who will win, the judges – Kyle Sandilands, Marcia Hines, and Amy Shark – have only whittled it down to the Top 12.
So, who are the Top 12 in Australian Idol?

Aaliyah is a 27-year-old from Prospect, NSW.
Bony Onyango
Bony is 25-years-old and is from Brisbane, QLD.
Emma Jones
23-year-old Emma hails from Canberra, ACT.
Gisella Colletti
Gisella is a 16-year-old from Perth, WA.
Hannah Waddell
Hannah is 25-years-old and from Doubleview, WA.

Iilysh Retallick
At just 17-years-old, Iilysh is the youngest contestant in the Top 12. She’s from Culcairn, NSW.
Jake Whittaker
Jake hails from Stockleigh, QLD.
Jaymon Bob
Jaymon is from Rockhampton, QLD, and is 23-years-old.
John Van Beek
19-year old John is from Perth, WA.
Marshall Hamburger
Marshall is a 19-year-old from Doonan, QLD.
Mzuki
Mzuki is from Melbourne, VIC, and is 28-years-old.
William Le Brun
William is a 21-year-old from Melbourne, VIC.

Who is the most successful Australian Idol contestant?
Arguably, Guy Sebastian is the most successful Australian Idol contestant.
After winning the first season back in 2003, Guy went on to have an illustrious career.
For instance, six of his singles reached number one on the ARIA charts, not to mention he’s won multiple ARIA Awards, including Best Pop Release and Best Live Act.
In 2015, Guy represented Australia at Eurovision, finishing fifth with his song Tonight Again.
And in 2019, Guy became a coach on The Voice Australia – although he’s not returning for the 2025 season.
