Bindi Irwin temporarily relocates to the US with daughter Grace to support Robert’s TV gig

Sibling love.

Bindi and Robert Irwin have a bond like no other, forged by their father’s love and the challenges of being in the public eye.

The Irwin family were thick as thieves, spreading awareness about the importance of wildlife conservation. Hearts broke around the globe when Steve Irwin passed away in September 2006.

Ever since, the public has watched the siblings incredibly close as they tackle television gigs, new relationships and grief.

Possibly their greatest adventure yet was a family status change! Robert went from brother to uncle – or ‘funcle’ as he calls it – and Bindi became a mother.

On March 25, 2021, Bindi welcomed daughter Grace Warrior Irwin Powell with her husband Chandler Powell.

And Robert couldn’t be more in-love with his niece. Robert’s Instagram page is full of photography, television gigs, animals and adventures with little Grace.

“As Grace has grown up, she just gets more and more excited to go on Uncle Robert adventures,” Bindi said on Not Gonna Lie podcast with Kylie Kelce.

“Because he kind of like pushes the limits a little. He does fun things and exciting things. And so she loves it. And he is so present with her, which I love so much.”

Robert also speaks highly of his sister, telling The Weekly in a previous interview he said Grace has “the coolest parents ever.”

Now, Bindi is fulfilling her big sister duties, following Robert halfway across the world to support him as he competes in Dancing With The Stars US. But she isn’t the only one supporting Robert, with Bindi’s husband Chandler, their daughter Grace and Terri Irwin will also be in the crows.

Robert will be competing in the 2025 season, ten years after Bindi won her season of DWTS in America.

The temporary move will last only three months and not permanently because “Australia Zoo will always be home.” She revealed the relocation news in a video to Instagram.

“I get to cheer on my (not so little) brother @robertirwinphotography!” she wrote on Instagram. “If you’re wondering who will be cheering the loudest in the audience – it will definitely be me and Grace. She has already chosen all her dresses to wear in the ballroom audience each week. ❤️🥹 #DWTS. We’re super proud of you, Robert.”

But enough talking about Bindi and Robert’s touching bond! Below are some of our favourite photos of Bindi and Robert Irwin.
