It’s hard to believe that the late Steve Irwin’s daughter Bindi is not only grown up but has a daughter of her own: Grace Warrior Irwin Powell.
But it’s true! Time really does fly…
Bindi, now aged 26, married professional wakeboarder Chandler Powell on March 25, 2020, and exactly one year later the couple welcomed little Grace into the world.

In a statement announcing Grace’s birth, Bindi said:
“Grace Warrior Irwin Powell. Our graceful warrior is the most beautiful light. Grace is named after my great-grandmother, and relatives in Chandler’s family dating back to the 1700s. Her middle names, Warrior Irwin, are a tribute to my dad and his legacy as the most incredible Wildlife Warrior.”

Grace is five years old. She’ll turn six on March 25, 2027.

It’s not often that we get a family portrait of all the Irwins together nowadays, especially with Uncle Robert’s busy schedule.
In June 2026, the family shared some gorgeous images on Instagram in a collaborative post.
Bindi captioned the photos: “Khaki is not just a colour, it’s an attitude. Grateful every day to stand alongside my family as Wildlife Warriors doing our best to protect wildlife and wild places. (Also swipe to see Occa showing off his crest. Even our darling koala turned to look! The cutest. 💛)”
Of course, little Grace was front and centre in her adorable Australia Zoo uniform too!

Grace may have never had meet her grandfather Steve, but her parents are instilling his legacy into their everday activities. So, when Chandler caught a python, the youngest Wildlife Warrior mentioned “Grandpa Crocodile” and his talent with snakes.
“We have to make sure our snakes are safe and set them in this lovely outback,” Grace said. “Dada is really good at snakes. You know what? Your [Bindi] dada, Grandpa Crocodile, is really good at snakes.”
“Yeah, Steve Irwin that’s my dad and your Grandpa Crocodile,” Bindi said.
