The last time Britney Spears performed in Australia was in November 2009 during her Circus Starring Britney Spears tour, with sold-out shows in Perth, Melbourne, Sydney, and Brisbane, marking her first-ever Australian tour. She hasn’t been back since, so when she posted that she was going Down Under “very soon,” we got very excited!
Britney announced on Instagram that she was “hoping” to be performing in Australia “very soon.”
She shared that she was planning on gifting a white Yamaha piano to her son, along with a photo of her performing at the 29th Annual American Music Awards with the piano.

The Princess of Pop wrote, “Sending this piano to my son this year!!!”
Britney continued that she posts videos of her dancing on Instagram “to heal things in my body that people have no idea about. Yup and it’s embarrassing sometimes… but I walked through the fire to save my life…”
On 12 November 2021, Britney was released from a conservatorship wherein a lot of her life and her assets were controlled by her family, and not by herself. A Los Angeles judge terminated the legal arrangement that had controlled her personal and financial affairs for more than 13 years.
That ruling restored her legal autonomy and control over her own life and estate after the controversial guardianship, which began in 2008 following personal and mental health struggles.
“I will never perform in the U.S. again because of extremely sensitive reasons,” she promised in her Instagram post. “But I hope to be sitting on a stool with a red rose in my hair, in a bun, performing with my son… in the UK and AUSTRALIA very soon.”

She doesn’t specify which of her sons she is referring to; however, Jayden, her younger son, is the most likely candidate. He has shared snippets of his own music and beats on social media over the years and has spoken about enjoying music.
“He’s a huge star and I’m so humbled to be in his presence!!! God speed, little man!!!” Britney praised her son on Instagram.
The mother and son recently posted a rare selfie on Instagram.
As mentioned, Jayden is her younger son, born Jayden James Federline, on 12 September 2006. His father is Britney’s former husband, Kevin Federline (married from 2004 to 2007). Their elder son is Sean Preston Federline, born 14 September 2005.
Britney was also briefly married to Jason Alexander (2004) and, more recently, to Sam Asghari (2022–2024). They met on the set of her “Slumber Party” music video and were engaged in September 2021, shortly before she was released from her conservatorship. Then they married in June 2022. However, she and Sam divorced in 2024, citing “irreconcilable differences.”
In 2023, when her memoir The Woman in Me was released in Australia, there was a rumour that went around that the Princess of Pop was going to be at the memoir launch. However, it turned out to be a Britney Spears impersonator. But it fooled a couple of people (even those in the media).
Sarah Brown, the impersonator, replicated Britney’s iconic outfit for the “I’m A Slave 4U” video and concert performances. She even included a fake snake.

So we are going to keep our eyes and ears peeled for any more updates on whether Britney Spears will be coming to Australia on a tour!
