Australian singer and actress Delta Goodrem has married her long-term partner Matthew Copley in a private wedding ceremony in Malta.
Delta confirmed the news in an Instagram post. “It was more magical than we both could have dreamed,” she said in her post. “We said I do under the Maltese skies in a family fairytale wedding brought to life by so many angels surrounding us.
We are holding on to every memory from that moment, the love, the laughter, the happy tears and dancing till the sun came up. We can’t wait to come back to Australia and celebrate as Mr & Mrs.”
The couple tied the knot on Monday, June 16. Reportedly, celebrations continued the following day at a seaside club surrounded by close family and friends.

While the ceremony itself was kept private, fans had already begun speculating that the pair had quietly wed after Delta was seen wearing what appeared to be a wedding band during a surprise performance at London’s St Pancras International Station.
Delta, who has spent over two decades in the public eye thanks to her chart-topping music and iconic role as Nina Tucker on Neighbours, has always been careful to keep her romantic life sacred.
Speaking to The Australian Women’s Weekly, she gently addressed questions about her relationship, saying: “He’s my guitarist, I met him through music. It’s incredible to be on stage with him because he’s so talented. We really are a team. He’s my best friend, he’s kind and just a beautiful human being. But I learnt quite young that I enjoy keeping part of that private.”
Delta and Matthew, who met through their shared passion for music, have been together for nine years. In September 2023, Delta announced their engagement with a joyful Instagram post. In which she wrote: “My best friend asked me to marry him.”
While she has rarely shared much detail about their life together, Delta has made it clear that their connection is rooted in mutual respect, creativity, and deep friendship. “We really are a team,” she previously said, describing their onstage collaboration and offstage bond. “He’s my best friend, he’s kind and just a beautiful human being. But I learnt quite young that I enjoy keeping part of that private. I’ve always been so understanding that I’ve lived in the public eye since I was a teenager but also I think it’s nice to keep some things to yourself.”
