Eliot shocked Married at First Sight fans everywhere when, just a few weeks ago, he dumped Lauren on the second day of their honeymoon.
Now, in an MAFS first, Eliot is back and has been re-matched with Veronica.
But before Eliot married Veronica, he did — thankfully — take a little bit of accountability.
“Looking back at what happened with Lauren, I f**ked up,” he admitted to producers before promising to really give the experiment a chance this time round.
And he was very happy when Veronica walked down the aisle.
“Oh my God, she’s beautiful,” Eliot exclaimed.
Veronica was equally smitten, later telling MAFS producers that she thought Eliot was good-looking.
However, Eliot’s vows were very confusing for poor Veronica and her friends; he failed to give any of them any context about how he’d already married someone at first sight and then abruptly left when that person didn’t meet his expectations…
“I didn’t really know what he was talking about,” Veronica confessed to producers. “I can only speculate that someone’s left?”
Veronica’s friends didn’t beat around the bush though. At the wedding reception, they directly asked Eliot what he was on about in his vows.
Initially, the groom said he wanted to talk to his bride about it later, “one on one.”
But Eliot quickly confessed that he’d been on MAFS before.
“I did it two weeks ago… We got matched and it was immediately apparent that we weren’t a good fit for each other,” he said. “So I said I wanted to go.”
To be honest, Eliot really glossed over the details.
Something Veronica’s friends picked up on. They immediately asked him how long he had his first MAFS marriage before leaving.
When Eliot divulged that he was in a relationship with Lauren for just three days, Veronica’s friends were not impressed.
Whereas Veronica just joked, “Clock is ticking, I’ve got three days!”
So, are Eliot and Veronica still together?
Well, the couple got extremely close on their honeymoon.
In fact, Veronica bravely shared with Eliot that she has endometriosis and, as a result, may be infertile.
“That’s not my perfect future but honesty is my number one so thank you for telling me that,” Eliot replied before pulling Veronica in for a kiss.
“I think he received it pretty well,” Veronica later told producers.
The two went on to share several kisses while watching a beautiful sunset.
Of course, the promo for the next MAFS episode shows Lauren — who’s now with Clint — telling Veronica exactly why and how Eliot left her…
