Taylor Swift’s The Eras Tour has officially come to an end.
The Grammy Award-winning pop star took to Instagram to bid farewell using lyrics from her song ‘All Too Well’.
“It was rare. I was there. I remember it,” she wrote on December 12, 2024.
The Eras Tour first kicked off on March 17, 2023, in Glendale, Arizona. It then toured across the US, Mexico, Australia, the UK, and many other countries before finishing on December 8, 2024, in Vancouver, Canada.
And during that time, Taylor and her tour achieved multiple incredible accomplishments.
It also featured many, many memorable moments.
In honour of Taylor beautifully acknowledging the bittersweet end, these are the best moments from The Eras Tour.
When an extra 50,000 people turned up
July, 2024
During the Munich, Germany, show on July 28, 2024, there were 74,000 people in the stadium. But there were also about 50,000 people who, after being unable to snag tickets, gathered on a hill just outside of the venue to listen to Taylor play.
She acknowledged the incredible moment during the show and said, “We are lucky enough to get to play this show for 74,000 beautiful people in this stadium, and if the reports are correct, about 50,000 beautiful people outside the stadium.
“Thank you for coming to The Eras Tour, whether you’re in the stadium or outside of the stadium. We are so lucky to be here with you.”
When Travis Kelce carried her onstage
June, 2024
Taylor brought out multiple special guests throughout The Eras Tour: Marcus Mumford, Sabrina Carpenter, and her longtime collaborator Jack Antonoff, for instance. But Travis Kelce, Taylor’s boyfriend, was our favourite.
The football player came onstage in June 2024 during Taylor’s final show at Wembley Stadium in London. Travis carried Taylor during The Tortured Poets Department set, wearing a tuxedo and top hat.
When Prince William attended
June, 2024
Taylor Swift is so popular that even the future King of England is a fan of hers. Prince William, along with his kids Prince George and Princess Charlotte, attended The Eras Tour in June 2024.
When The Tortured Poets Department was added to the setlist
May, 2024
In April 2024, Taylor released her 11th studio album: The Tortured Poets Department (TTPD). At the time, she was on a short break from The Eras Tour and fans immediately wondered whether she’d add some of the new TTPD songs to the tour’s setlist.
On May 9, 2024, Taylor restarted The Eras Tour in Paris, France and she revealed she’d added an entire TTPD set — complete with new costumes and new choreography — that’d continue for the rest of the tour.
When Taylor made fun of the way Aussies say, ‘No’
February, 2024
Taylor playfully made fun of Australian accents during the first night of her Sydney shows.
Before she played a mashup of ‘Should’ve Said No’ and ‘You’re Not Sorry’ as the first surprise song, she asked the Aussie crowd to make sure they sang the lyrics with our unique twang: “You should’ve said naur.”
When The Eras Tour became the highest-grossing tour ever
December, 2023
The Eras Tour officially became the highest-grossing concert tour of all time, a full 12 months before it ended! It’s now estimated that the entire tour grossed US$2,077,618,725 — roughly AU$3.2 billion.
When Taylor first sang, “Karma is the guy on the Chiefs”
November, 2023
In September 2023, Taylor and Travis Kelce confirmed they were dating.
A month later, Travis attended the Buenos Aires leg of The Eras Tour and during the show, Taylor, while performing Karma, sang “Karma is the guy on the Chiefs,” instead of the original lyrics, “Karma is the guy on the screen.”
Taylor went on to sing these new lyrics (which reference that Travis is an NFL player for the Kansas City Chiefs) multiple times during The Eras Tour but the first time was legendary; especially because Travis’ reaction was so cute (see the blurry picture above).
When Swifties caused an earthquake
July, 2023
Shake it off indeed… In July 2023, the crowds at the Seattle shows jumped and danced so much that they caused seismic activity equivalent to a 2.3 magnitude earthquake!
When Taylor reunited with her ex, Taylor Lautner
July, 2023
Also in July 2023, during the Kansas City shows, Taylor debuted the music video for ‘I Can See You’. Which is super exciting in itself. But Taylor took it one step further. She invited the stars of the music video onstage: Joey King, Presley Cash and Taylor Lautner. The latter, Swift dated way back in 2009. Seeing the Taylors reunited in 2023 was on no one’s bingo card, so it was iconic, to say the least.
When Taylor performed for 3.5 hours in the pouring rain
May, 2023
Swifties know how special rain shows are to Taylor. And when she performed The Eras Tour at Gillette Stadium in Foxborough, it poured for the entire three-and-a-half-hour show! Taylor’s joy at the heavy rain was infectious. It was rather funny when the water played havoc on her electric keyboard during the Surprise Songs set.
