It looks like Prince William is a Taylor Swift fan

Yes, the Prince of Wales is a ‘Swiftie!’

Like masses of us worldwide, it looks like Prince William is a Swiftie.

On November 27, 2023, the Prince of Wales attended the Tusk Conservation Awards. While there, he struck up a conversation with The Rolling Stones guitarist Ronnie Wood.

And according to Ronnie, William wants to see Taylor Swift perform.

“We were talking about the [upcoming Rolling Stones Hackney Diamonds] tour and I said, ‘Come on, you’ve got to come out on tour,’ and we were talking about the new album and everything,” Ronnie told Hello.

“William said [he’d come] if we could get Taylor Swift there.”

Ronnie assured William that Rolling Stones frontman Sir Mick Jagger knows Taylor and has sung with her before. Therefore it shouldn’t be a problem to get her to make an appearance during their tour. At this, William replied:

“I’m there then.”

But Mick isn’t the only one who’s sung with Taylor…

In 2013, during the Winter Whites Gala, William himself crooned Livin’ On A Prayer with Taylor and Jon Bon Jovi.

Taylor spoke about the encounter during an appearance on The Graham Norton Show in 2014. According to her, it came to pass as William was “freaking out” about joining Jon on stage. And so he asked her to come too as support.

“He just looks at me and is like, ‘You gotta go with me, you gotta go with me.’ And I was like, ‘All right.’ And we got up there and started singing Livin’ on a Prayer.”

The Prince of Wales also spoke about the Livin’ On Prayer performance in 2021, during an Apple Fitness+ Time To Walk episode. Yet he never mentioned the Shake It Off singer by name.

“Beneath my black tie, there was a lot of sweating going on. I felt like a swan, where I was trying to keep myself composed on the outside, but inside, the little legs [were] paddling fast,” William said.

“Now, a lot of people might think that I’m comfortable on stage. When I do speeches and things like that, I’ve done so many now, they’re not a problem. But I’ve not done singing. At times, when you’re taken out of your comfort zone, you’ve got to roll with it.

“And I think we’ve gotten to the stage in this life where we do micromanage ourselves. We do worry about, ‘How do we look on social media? Who said what about me? What am I wearing?’ There’s so many pressures, but I think making a fool of yourself is okay.”

We wonder if William – along with Princess Catherine and their children Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis – will attend Taylor’s Eras Tour when she brings it to the UK in 2024…
