Prince Harry and Meghan Markle were in Canada for the Invictus Games 2025 One Year to Go celebrations in February 2024. In anticipation of the games, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex have hit the slopes, joining veterans who are training for the 2025 competition.
The couple arrived hand-in-hand to the beginning of the celebrations in Whistler, Canada, dressed head to toe in winter attire.
Harry and Meghan then met with Invictus Games alum where they learned about the sit ski, standing ski, and visually impaired stations of the Whistler resort where athletes are preparing for the games.
“The Duke and Duchess are looking forward to spending an incredible couple of days in British Columbia as they prepare for the first ever Winter hybrid games,” a statement from the new Sussex website reads.
“The couple would like to give a heartfelt thank you to the event organisers, sponsors, the Invictus Games Foundation, True Patriot Love, volunteers, and the Four Host First Nations for welcoming the Games onto their land.”

The Invictus games will take place from February 6-17, 2025 in Whistler, Canada. The event is set to host 500 competitors from 20 nations.

The Invictus Games is an international sporting event that was founded by Prince Harry in 2014. The Prince was inspired after seeing the 2013 Warrior Games, a competition for wounded servicemen held by U.S. Department of Defence.

London would host the inaugural Invictus Games, an international sporting event for wounded, injured and sick Service personnel.” Within a year, the first Invictus Games was held in London.
