More than 20 years later, the beloved 2003 film Freaky Friday is getting a sequel: Freakier Friday.
And both Jamie Lee Curtis and Lindsay Lohan will reprise their roles!

Yes! As mentioned above, a sequel titled Freakier Friday will be released in 2025.

What is Freakier Friday going to be about?
The sequel will be set years after the events of Freaky Friday, during which Tess (Jamie Lee)and her daughter Anna (Lindsay Lohan) swapped bodies.
Now, Anna is a mother herself to a daughter named Harper and a soon-to-be stepdaughter named Lily.
As she and Tess navigate the challenges that come with families merging, another body swap will occur… This time between Tess, Anna, Harper, and Lily.
Who’s returning for the sequel?
As aforementioned, Jamie Lee Curtis and Lindsay Lohan will reprise their roles in the Freaky Friday sequel as Tess and Anna.

Rosalind Chao, Chad Michael Murray, Mark Harmon, Ryan Malgarini, Christina Vidal Mitchell, Haley Hudson, Stephen Tobolowsky and Lucille Soong will also reprise their respective roles from Freaky Friday.
Joining the cast are Julia Butters, Sophia Hammons, Manny Jacinto, Maitreyi Ramakrishnan, Vanessa Bayer and Elaine Hendrix — who starred in the 1998 film The Parent Trap with Lindsay.
Where can I watch Freakier Friday?
Freakier Friday will be released in Australian cinemas on August 7, 2025.
After its theatrical run, it’ll likely be released on Disney+ — Freakier Friday is a Disney film after all.
