Kate Hudson has finally announced the release date and title of her debut album!
Taking to Instagram in April 2024, the actress-turned-songstress shared:
“I have been waiting so long to finally say this… My album, Glorious, will be out May 17.”
So far, Kate has released two singles from Glorious.
The first, Talk About Love, was released on January 30, 2024.
The second, Live Forever, was released on March, 28.
Kate first shared that she had decided to record an album in December 2022 during an appearance on The Tonight Show starring Jimmy Fallon.
“You know, I had this thing [during] COVID… Every time you’re doing interviews, people are like, ‘Do you have any regrets?’ I go, ‘I’m [in my] early 40s; not yet.’ But during COVID, I was like, you know, ‘What am I doing?’
“I just thought that would be one of my great regrets. I have no expectations. I just want to put a record out, and so I’m doing it. And I’m really proud of it. I can’t wait,” Kate said.
Kate then kept pretty quiet about the project until early 2024 when she shared a behind-the-scenes look at her recording Talk About Love on Instagram.
“Here we go… She’s coming,” Kate teased in the caption.
Friends and fans alike voiced their excitement for Kate’s album Glorious in the comments section.
“Oh yes, I can not wait for this,” Australian actress Naomi Watts wrote.
“Congratulations! I can’t wait,” Dawson’s Creek star Katie Holmes commented.
