Katy is currently engaged to Orlando Bloom.
The singer was previously married to Russell Brand.
She and Russell tied the knot on October 23, 2010, and got divorced in 2012 after he infamously texted her that he wanted to end the relationship while she was on the California Dreams tour.
Are Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom still married?
Katy and Orlando got engaged in February 2019 and welcomed their daughter Daisy Dove Bloom on August 26, 2020.
They have yet to get married though.
Why did Katy and Orlando split?
Katy and Orlando began dating in early 2016. However a year later, in February 2017, the couple officially split up.
Katy and Orlando issued a joint statement to People that read, “Before rumours or falsifications get out of hand, we can confirm that Orlando and Katy are taking respectful, loving space at this time.”
However, in August 2017 Katy and Orlando were spotted at an Ed Sheeran concert together.
Then they travelled to the Maldives together in January 2018. Not to mention Katy visited Orlando in Prague while he was shooting his fantasy TV series Carnival Row in March 2018.
In April 2018, the couple met the Pope together – at this point, neither Katy nor Orlando had publicly confirmed they were back together but it was pretty obvious.
Especially as they constantly liked and commented on each other’s Instagram posts and walked the red carpet together at the Gala for the Global Ocean in September 2018.
Then on February 14, 2019, Katy took to Instagram to reveal that Orlando had proposed to her.
“Full bloom,” she wrote.
Flash forward to March 2020 and Katy confirmed she was pregnant via the music video for her song Never Worn White.
As aforementioned, Katy and Orlando welcomed their daughter Daisy in August 2020, and the family – which includes Orlando’s son Flynn whom he shares and co-parents with his ex-wife Miranda Kerr – has been going strong ever since!
In September 2024, Katy explained why she and Orlando briefly split. Orlando attended a week-long retreat called The Hoffman Proces, and when he returned he wanted a more serious relationship; something Katy wasn’t ready for at the time.
“He went there, and he wasn’t playing that cat-mouse game anymore. And I was like, ‘This is boring. I’m moving on.’ I was so used to this push-pull. Because once you have it. I was playing games,” Katy told the Call Her Daddy podcast.
“I finally went to Hoffman towards the end of that year that we were separated, and I got the tools. We spoke the same language,” she continued, sharing how she and Orlando ended up back together.
“It just helped me rewire what I think about myself, and it helped me connect my head to my heart … I showed him the worst of me. I was like, ‘Here’s the next test. I’m gonna show you the craziest b***h you’ve ever seen,’ and he was like, ‘I’m not shook.’ And I was like, ‘You’re my baby daddy.’ If you’re not shook by this, then we’re going the distance.”
