Hosted by Sam Frost and Sarah Roberts, the Cracking On podcast shares stories of resilience, rejection and redirections.

“There was a time when I felt bullied; it doesn’t matter how old you are,” the TV WEEK Gold Logie winner shared on the podcast. “I felt it came from quarters it shouldn’t have come from.”

She shared that the situation culminated in a situation in front of the cast and crew.

“I remember saying to this person, ‘ Are you always an arsehole or is it just towards me?’ And this person said, ‘Oh, it’s just towards you’.”

Thankfully, by calling out this person, Lynne ended their antagonism. She said that they left her alone after that.

Ever the graceful human being, Lynne did not name the individual. Instead, she referred to them as “this person”.

In our exclusive interview with Lynne ahead of her final season as Irene, she shared that the line between their characters blurred over the years.

“Irene is much more in your face than Lynne. Irene doesn’t mind confrontation, whereas Lynne’s not great at it. I tend to find something very interesting in my handbag if there’s confrontation going on around me. I’d rather smooth it over and move on,” she said in that interview. However, in this case, it appears Lynne had had enough of “this person’s” behaviour and let Irene take the wheel.

Lynne McGranger is returning to our screens in 2026 with a new series on Channel 9, SHARK!. The show sees six Australian celebrities who face their greatest fear: sharks. Also taking part in the series are Olympian Ariarne Titmus, The Blocks Scott Cam, rugby league footballer Sam Thaiday and Apple Cider Vinegar actor Matt Nable.
