What was the Married at First Sight baby news?

Talk about underwhelming…

Boy, the 2025 season of Married at First Sight (MAFS) really made viewers think some scandalous baby news was on the horizon. How silly of us all!

To backtrack, at the end of last night’s episode, a promo made out that in tonight’s episode one couple would reveal they were pregnant.

“In an unexpected turn of events, which couple will announce their exciting baby news?” the MAFS narrator teased in the promo.

However, it’s now clear that the promo was cheekily referring to a new development in Tony and Morena’s relationship.

So, what was the 2025 MAFS baby news?

Essentially, Tony, 53, has suddenly realised that he wants a child and, therefore, needs to be in a relationship with a younger woman who can give him one.

But when he broke this news to Morena, 57, she didn’t buy it.

“Tony and I have been in this experiment for weeks and weeks and weeks, and he’s never uttered a word that he wants to have a baby,” she told MAFS producers.

“Where did it come from? He’s done everything to try and push me away, and now, ‘Wow, I’ve just realised I wanna have a baby.’ Seriously? You’re 53! Very strange; doesn’t add up.”

Morena went on to say that she was totally “blindsided” by Tony’s revelation. And furthermore, she no longer trusts or respects him.

“I don’t know where to [go] from here because I have no respect for him. None at all.”

It’s probably safe to say that this ‘baby news’ will be the final straw for Tony and Morena. Their relationship has been rocky since the honeymoon, and Morena is clearly upset.

Of course, knowing MAFS, the couple could do a complete 180 and patch things up. Just like Jacqui and Ryan recently (and confusingly) did.

Stay tuned!
