This article reported on the betting odds and who was favoured to win throughout the season. With the grand finale tonight (July 16, 2024), the official winner has been crowned. Head to our winner’s article to see who came out on top!
We are almost at the end of the current season of MasterChef Australia but the winner may have already leaked…
How? Well, for years, fans have looked at the betting odds provided by agencies like Sportsbet or TAB to try and predict who will win.
And this year, as soon as the contestants donned their aprons and started their culinary battle, the odds dropped on Sportsbet – and now that we are down to the final seven, fans are now pretty certain of who will be crowned 2024’s top chef.
The odds have been taken down from the official betting agencies, as we are now down to the final two, but all season long Nat Thaipun has lead the pack with the most favourable odds of winning. When it was down to the final three, Nat sat at 1.24.
And not too far behind in second favourite position was Josh Perry, with odds of 4.33.
Last year, fans used betting odds to correctly predict the MasterChef winner; as soon as the 2023 season started, betting agencies had Brent Draper with the most favourable odds of winning and he did indeed win.
Obviously though, only time will tell who takes out the MasterChef title this year…
