Anyway, here’s Wonderwall (and by Wonderwall, we mean what you need to know…)

Will Oasis tour again?

Yes! After their 15 year long feud, the Gallagher brothers reconnected and first announced that Oasis would tour again on August 27, 2024.

Their official statement read: “The guns have fallen silent. The stars have aligned. The great wait is over. Come see. It will not be televised.

“Oasis will hit Cardiff, Manchester, London, Edinburgh and Dublin in the summer of 2025. Their only shows in Europe next year, this will be one of the biggest live moments and hottest tickets of the decade.

“The Oasis live experience is unlike anything else. The roar that greets them as they step on stage. A set full of wall-to-wall classics. The spine-tingling sensation of being in a crowd singing back every word. And especially the charisma, spark and intensity that only comes when Liam and Noel Gallagher are on-stage together.”

It went on to say that “there has been no great revelatory moment that has ignited the reunion – just the gradual realisation that the time is right”.

At this stage, it’s unclear whether Paul ‘Bonehead’ Arthurs, a founding member of the band, will go on tour with Liam and Noel – but obviously fans weren’t too perturbed; tickets to all of Oasis’ UK shows have already sold out.

Why did Oasis disband?

Oasis disbanded in 2009 due to ongoing tensions between frontmen, the Gallagher brothers, who had a notoriously tumultuous relationship throughout the band’s career.

The final straw came after a heated backstage altercation at a festival in Paris, where Noel claimed Liam attempted to attack him with a guitar.

Following this incident, Noel announced his departure from the band, stating he could no longer work with his brother.

Thankfully the two – after 15 years! – have reconciled.
