Rob Mills burst onto the music scene in 2003 after coming fifth on Australian Idol.

Yes! The couple first started dating in 2018 after Rob contacted her on Instagram (or as the kids would say, ‘slid into her DMs’).
“I was just watching ABC Breakfast… I googled, ‘Who is the new ABC Sports girl?’ And it came up with Georgie Tunny,” Rob shared on The Australian Women’s Weekly Love Stories podcast. After discovering they had a few mutual friends on Instagram, Rob boldly shot her a message.
“Hey, I know what it’s like to be in a new city. And if you want someone to show you around, where the best coffee spots are. I’d like to be that person. Also not a weirdo. We have mutual friends. Ask them.” Rob recalls laughing. “And then she left me on read.”
“But I was useless,” Georgie added. “My instinct is that someone wouldn’t be interested in me immediately. I never thought when I was growing up that I was particularly attractive or anything like that. So when Robert was so overt with his pursuing me… I remember it took me a little while to be accepting of it because it was just so new.”
Finally, after three months of chatting online, Rob invited Georgie to Puffs, a show he was starring in at the time, and they’ve been together ever since.
In 2021, Rob popped the question, and as of June 2026, Rob and Georgie are still engaged.
In 2025, they put their love to the test! The lovebirds competed on the 2025 season of The Amazing Race Australia: Celebrity Edition and even made it to the final four.
Speaking on The Australian Women’s Weekly Love Stories podcast, the couple shared that their time on The Amazing Race was actually a welcome break from their busy schedules and an opportunity to spend time together.
“Thanks for having us get to catch up with each other,” the couple joked to podcast host Tiffany Dunk, amidst talk of wedding plans and hopes of starting a family soon.
