Hugh Jackman and Kate Hudson are starring as a married couple in a new musical drama Song Sung Blue.
The first trailer for the biopic, directed by Craig Brewer, was released in early September, teasing the story of Milwaukee married couple Mike and Claire Sardina.
However, this story has been told before. Song Sung Blue is based on a 2008 documentary of the same name and directed by Greg Kohs.

The documentary has attracted a number of Hollywood stars including Hugh Jackman as Mike, and Kate Hudson as Claire.
While Hugh has sung in many theatre shows and movies like The Greatest Showman, Kate hasn’t – and we don’t think belting You’re So Vain in How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days counts. But she does have an album out titled, Glorious.

Song Sung Blue follows downtrodden musicians, Mike and Claire Sardina who form a Neil Diamond tribute band. After performing as Lightning & Thunder, they become local celebrities.
Based on a true story, the film follows the best and most turbulent times for Mike and Claire including juggling their dreams with family life.
