The film is based on the true story of a married couple who, in the late 1980s, formed a Neil Diamond/Patsy Cline tribute band.

Directed by Greg Kohs, the documentary follows the lives and love story of married couple Mike and Claire Sardina.
Mike and Claire — or to use their stage names, Lightning and Thunder — performed all over Milwaukee in the United States. He would impersonate Neil Diamond, while she would impersonate Patsy Cline.
Written and directed by Craig Brewer, Song Sung Blue will be in cinemas on December 25, 2025.
