Brush up on your French, because the fourth season of The White Lotus will be filmed at Château de la Messardière.
The hotel is a stunning five star 19th-century castle located in Saint Trope, France, featuring a tennis court, a swimming pool, lush gardens and a collection of Rolls-Royce that take guests to explore the region.
“For the fourth season, I want to get a little bit out of the ‘crashing waves against rocks’ vernacular,” Mike White said in a video shared by Max in April 2025.
Who will star in the fourth season?
Judging by previous seasons, it’s likely there will be a predominantly new cast for Season 4.
It was revealed that Oscar-nominated actress Helena Bonham Carter is in talks to star in the upcoming season.
Perhaps Woody Harrelson will appear in the fourth season. He revealed in April 2025 that he turned down a role that went to Sam Rockwell in Season 3.
“I was set to do White Lotus and [was] very excited. Unfortunately, their production schedule shifted, and conflicted with a pre-planned family vacation, forcing me to make an extremely hard decision,” Woody told The Daily Beast.
“Things must be meant to be though, because I couldn’t have done as fantastic a job as Sam, who is killing it.”

Each season features a new resort location and mostly new characters, but there are a few recurring characters across seasons.
