Is there going to be White Lotus Season 4?
Yes, HBO confirmed in January 2025, before the third season had even premiered, that The White Lotus had been renewed for a fourth season.
It’ll likely be released in 2026, but watch this space for an exact release date.
Where will Season 4 of The White Lotus be filmed?
It has not yet been officially announced where Season 4 will be set.
However, Norwegian publication Bergens Tidende reported in February 2025 that series creator Mike White had reached out to the Norwegian Film Institute for a grant to film a season in Norway.
Furthermore, Francesca Oris – programming executive at HBO – told Deadline (also in February 2025), “I can’t really say where we’re going to land but chances are somewhere in Europe.”
Season 1 of The White Lotus was set in Hawaii, Season 2 in Sicily, and Season 3 in Koh Samui.
Who will star in the fourth season?
Judging by previous seasons, it’s likely there will be a predominantly new cast for Season 4.
Perhaps Woody Harrelson will appear in the fourth season; he revealed in April 2025 he had to turn down a role – that ultimately went to Sam Rockwell – in Season 3.
“I was set to do White Lotus and [was] very excited. Unfortunately, their production schedule shifted, and conflicted with a pre-planned family vacation, forcing me to make an extremely hard decision,” Woody told The Daily Beast.
“Things must be meant to be though, because I couldn’t have done as fantastic a job as Sam, who is killing it.”

Are White Lotus seasons connected?
Yes, The White Lotus seasons are loosely connected.
Each season features a new resort location and mostly new characters, but there are a few recurring characters across seasons.
For instance, Greg – played by Jon Gries – appears in all three seasons, Tanya – played by Jennifer Coolidge – appears in Seasons 1 and 2, and Belinda – played by Natasha Rothwell – appears in Season 1 and Season 3.
