The room reveals for the 2024 season of The Block are officially underway!
Each week, each team renovates one room in their assigned house on Phillip Island.
And then, the judges – Shaynna Blaze, Darren Palmer and Marty Fox – are brought in to critique and score them on their work.

Week 5 – Master Bedroom and Walk In Wardrobe
Maddy & Charlotte
Newcomers Maddy and Charlotte impressed the judges, especially as they achieved a lot in such a short amount of time. They did notice that their style is different to Jesse and Paige’s but believe it’ll be complimentary. Overall, the sisters spent $22,536 this week.
Courtney & Grant
Courtney and Grant spent the most this week: $27,637. But it was worth it; all the judges loved their work… Especially Marty Fox who asked if he’s allowed to bid on the house!
Ricky & Haydn
The boys didn’t quite finish this week, and while the judges did like what they had done, the incompletedness couldn’t be ignored. Ricky and Haydn spent a total of $25,406 on their master bedroom and walk in wardrobe.
Kylie & Brad
Again, the judges all agreed on Kylie and Brad’s work (which cost $18,597): they all loved it and think the couple have hit their stride.
Kristian & Mimi
After spending $19,569 on their master bedroom, Kristian and Mimi got great feedback from the judges. They really loved the styling of the room – although a few functionality issues (like the positioning of the bedside table lights) kept them from receiving a perfect score.

Week 4 – Guest Bedroom
Jesse & Paige
After spending $14,382 on their second guest bedroom, Jesse and Paige received great feedback from the judges; Shaynna especially loved that it was “sophisticated, not juvenile.”
Courtney & Grant
Marty called Courtney and Grant this year’s front runners after seeing this bedroom, which cost the couple $8,946.
Ricky & Haydn
The judges were seriously impressed with the boys for bouncing back after last week. All three love Ricky and Haydn’s guest bedroom, which cost $13,948.
Kylie & Brad
Finally, the judges all agreed when it came to one of Kylie and Brad’s rooms… They all loved this kids room, which cost the couple $9,504.
Kristian & Mimi
Kristian and Mimi won yet again this week. The couple spent $18,135 on their guest bedroom which was a real hit with the judges because of the bedheads and styling.

Week 3 – Ensuite Bathroom
Jesse & Paige
All the judges were quite impressed with Jesse and Paige’s ensuite. In total, the couple spent $20,884 on this room.
Courtney & Grant
Courtney and Grant got NO negative feedback this week; the judges simply loved their ensuite which cost $20,575.
Ricky & Haydn
After a disastrous week (which included having to fire one of their builders), Ricky and Haydn didn’t finish their ensuite. The judges were disappointed to say the least…
Kylie & Brad
Again, Kylie and Brad divided the judges. Shaynna thought the ensute was too art deco, Darren was on the fence (he loved some elements but disliked others) and Marty thought it was great! In total, Kylie and Brad soent $22,224 on their renovations this week.
Kristian & Mimi
Kristian and Mimi spent the most yet again: $33,135. And while the judges were mostly impressed, the couple didn’t win this week; namely because the judges thought the shower space was too big. Oh and because they really didn’t like that Kristian and Mimi left a note with excuses on the door.

Week 2 – Guest Bedroom
The second room reveal of the 2024 season was the guest bedroom.
Jesse & Paige
The couple spent $9,377 on their guest bedroom, which the judges thought was “just right”.
Courtney & Grant
All three judges loved what Courtney and Grant did with their guest bedroom; Marty especially as he said that if the couple keep the styling up and level of detail up they are going to be hard to beat. Courtney and Grant spent $8,317 on their guest bedroom.
Ricky & Haydn
Ricky and Haydn spent the least this week: $8,062. But the judges weren’t fond of the layout or the positioning of the bunk beds. Plus, there was bad workmanship on the roof and the plastering.
Kylie & Brad
Another controversial week for Kylie and Brad… The couple spent $11,611 and Shaynna thought the room was too art deco for a beach resort but Marty thought it was much better than their bathroom; overall, the judges’ comments left Kylie really confused.
Kristian & Mimi
Kristian and Mimi spent the most this week with $12,016 but it was worth it. The couple won again, with Shayanna, Marty and Darren all loving the room.

Week 1 – Master Bathroom
The first room reveal of the 2024 season was the master bathroom.
After working all week on their respective bathrooms, the judges (and us at home!) got to see what each team had accomplished during this time.
Jesse & Paige
Jesse and Paige spent a total of $26,109 and while Shaynna loved Paige’s choice for the vanity and tiles, she and the other judges couldn’t overlook that the bathroom was unfinished.
Courtney & Grant
All three judges praised Courtney and Grant’s bathroom; although Shaynna did admit she wanted “more drama”. Marty strongly disagreed with her though. The couple spent a total of $29,706.
Ricky & Haydn
Ricky and Haydn spent the most out of all the teams: $31,848. Sadly, the judges all thought the boys did an okay job; the biggest issue was that there was too much going on.
Kylie & Brad
Kylie and Brad’s all black bathroom cost $25,175 and was quite controversial. Shaynna loved the boldness whereas Marty really disliked the bathroom, calling it a “disaster”. Darren was on the fence, liking some elements but not others.
Kristian & Mimi
The winners for the week Kristian and Mimi interestingly spent the least out of all the teams: $21,732. All of the judges loved what the couple did with their bathroom from the layout to the colour choices.
