The original film, The Naked Gun: From the Files of Police Squad!, was a classic comedy film released in 1988, starring Leslie Nielsen as the bumbling but well-meaning police detective Frank Drebin.
In the film, Frank investigates a plot to assassinate Queen Elizabeth II during a visit to Los Angeles. Along the way, he unintentionally uncovers a larger conspiracy involving mind control and baseball.
