Bruce Springsteen gave his official review of the new biopic about him and his life, starring Jeremy, and it was all positive:

“I want to thank everybody for coming out to see our film tonight and our crew, a great cast,” Bruce said on stage at the screening of Deliver Me from Nowhere at the New York Film Festival. “Jeremy Allen White for putting his whole heart and soul into the part, just such a wonderful job, and for playing a much better-looking version of me.”

What is Springsteen: Deliver Me from Nowhere?

This all-new biopic from 20th Century Studios tells the story behind Springsteen’s hauntingly stripped-back 1982 album, Nebraska. Recorded alone in his New Jersey bedroom using a 4-track recorder, the album marked a turning point in his life — one where fame loomed large, but personal demons loomed larger.

The film dives deep into that moment, capturing the vulnerability, emotional turmoil, and stark creative vision that made Nebraska one of his most iconic works.

Directed and written by Crazy Heart filmmaker Scott Cooper and based on the acclaimed book by Warren Zanes, the film promises more than just a music story — it’s a psychological portrait of an artist at a crossroads.

Who is Bruce Springsteen?

Otherwise known as “The Boss,” Bruce Springsteen is an American singer-songwriter and rock icon.

He rose to fame in the 1970s and ’80s with working-class anthems like Born to Run, Dancing in the Dark and Born in the U.S.A. Bruce is famous for his poetic lyrics and electrifying performances. His music blends rock, folk and heartland storytelling. Plus, he’s won 20 Grammy Awards, an Oscar, and a Tony.

Is Bruce Springsteen married?

Yes, Bruce Springsteen is married. He’s been with fellow musician Patti Scialfa since the late 1980s. They married in 1991 and have three children together: Evan, Jessica, and Sam.

Who is Faye in Springsteen: Deliver Me from Nowhere?

In the upcoming biopic, Australian actress Odessa Young plays a character named Faye, described as a “love interest.” However, Faye is a fictional character, not based on any of Bruce’s real-life partners. The film focuses on the early 1980s — around the time Bruce was creating the Nebraska album — and well before he married Patti.

In real life, during the early 80s, Bruce was in a relationship with actress Joyce Hyser and later married model Julianne Phillips in 1985 (they divorced in 1989). His relationship with Patti Scialfa began not long after.

So while Faye might reflect the emotional themes or composite relationships from that period, she’s not a real person from Bruce’s life.

There has been no word on whether Bruce will tour Australia in 2025.

Even though The Boss is now in his 70s, he still tours around the world. As of writing, he is currently touring Europe with the E Street Band.

His most recent tour in Australia took place in February 2017, as part of the “Summer ’17 Tour” with the E Street Band. That 2017 tour was his first Australian/New Zealand run since 2014.
