Princess Anne’s son, Peter Phillips, married British nurse Harriet Sperling on June 6 in a beautiful church in the Cotswolds.
The bride and groom were all smiles despite the dreary weather and posed joyfully for photos outside following the ceremony.
Harriet wore an elegant lace gown designed by Emilia Wickstead, and while stunning, the true show stopper was the accessories. Just like her engagement ring, Harriet’s earrings were designed by luxury jewellers, Pragnell, and the Edwardian Pearl and Diamond tiara upon her head was a six-generation Pragnell family heirloom.

This is Peter’s second marriage, after his first with Autumn Philips officially dissolved in June 2021. Despite former royal rules, the second marriage has the blessing of the monarch.
When Princess Anne wanted to remarry to Sir Timothy Laurence in 1992, she was forbidden to do so in England. At the time, the Church of England prohibited remarrying if one’s former spouse was still living.
Bypassing this, Princess Anne and Timothy wed in Scotland.
However, by the time the then-Prince Charles remarried to Camilla in 2005, the Church of England had updated its regulations. Peter’s wedding on June 6, 2026, will be only the second time a royal has remarried in England.
In attendance were many key members from the House of Windsor, including King Charles, Queen Camilla, Prince William, and Princess Catherine.

Peter’s mother, Princess Anne, was, of course, in attendance, adding a sweet touch of nostalgia to the day by wearing a yellow hat previously worn to the christening of her daughter in 1981.
Zara Tindall was also present, along with her husband, Mike Tindall, and their children.

Also at the wedding were Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie, marking their first public appearance together this year since their father, Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor’s arrest.
The sisters were accompanied by their husbands, Jack Brooksbank and Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi.

Peter and Harriet are the picture of a modern blended family. From his previous relationship, Peter is the father of two daughters, Savannah and Isla. Meanwhile, Harriet is the mother of Georgina, whom she shares with ex-husband Antonio St. John Sperling.
The three girls played a big part in their parents’ special day with the new step-sisters accompanying Harriet as her bridesmaids. The girls looked divine in their simple and elegant white dresses as they held the bride’s veil.

Peter, 47, and Harriet, 45, were first linked in May 2024, when they cheered on the British royal’s sister, Zara Tindall, at the Badminton Horse Trials.
More than a year later, they announced their engagement.
“Mr Peter Phillips, the son of HRH The Princess Royal and Captain Mark Phillips, and Ms Harriet Sperling, daughter of the late Mr Rupert Sanders and Mrs Mary Sanders of Gloucestershire, have today confirmed their official engagement,” a statement shared in August 2025 revealed.
“Both families were informed jointly of the announcement and were delighted with the wonderful news of the engagement.”
