If you’re planning a trip over the winter school holidays or even the June long weekend, it might be time to check out Qantas’ $99 fare Red Tail sale.
Despite rising fuel prices, the major Australian airline is banking on travellers keen to explore the country, with fares covering routes from April 2026 all the way to March 2027. And it’s even including fares that cover peak travel periods such as winter holidays and the June long weekend.
“Australians’ appetite for travel continues, and this sale is designed to support our customers planning their next trip around Australia over the next 12 months, said Qantas Domestic CEO Markus Svensson.
“We’ve just had a bumper Easter holidays with more than a million customers travelling around our domestic network, and this sale is timed for those planning where to head next. We have millions of discounted seats across more than 90 routes, including some of Australia’s most popular holiday destinations, from tropical beaches and much-loved regional towns to city escapes.”
The sale is also surprising given Qantas’s announcement that it was cutting capacity by five per cent due to the rising fuel prices. Qantas has removed some routes, such as Sydney to Susselton and Melbourne to Coffs Harbour, and suspended others.
So if you’ve been dreaming of a weekend sojourn to Kangaroo Island, direct from Sydney or the Gold Coast from Perth, now is your time to check out Qantas’s flight sale.
The sale is live until 11.59 pm (AEST) Tuesday, 28 April 2026 or until exhausted.
