From lip balms to LED masks, the world of skincare has a seemingly endless amount of products. But whether you like a simple routine or indulge in every new launch, skincare undoubtedly plays a huge part in our lives.

Here at The Weekly, we’ve rounded up a list of some of our favourite (perhaps life-changing) skincare products.

Rationale The Serum

Rationale #1 The Serum

Ashleigh Austen, Health Editor

My skin soaks up Rationale’s #1 The Serum. It’s pricey, but the payoff is a clearer complexion that feels hydrated and extra glowy (no doubt thanks to the potent mix of niacinamide, antioxidants, hyaluronic acid and peptides). Be warned, however: it’s a gateway drug. You’ll want to switch your whole skincare routine to Rationale after giving it a whirl.

OUAI Scalp & Body Scrub

Jayde Malifa, Head of Digital

The OUAI St. Barts Scalp & Body Scrub is an absolute game-changer in my routine—it’s like a mini tropical escape in a jar. Infused with sugar crystals and coconut oil, it gently buffs away dry skin while leaving my scalp feeling refreshed and my body silky smooth. The scent is pure paradise, with notes of dragon fruit, orange blossom, and musk that linger just enough to feel luxurious. I love using it to reset after a long week—whether it’s for a deep scalp detox or an indulgent self-care moment in the shower. Plus, the formula strikes the perfect balance between exfoliating and hydrating, so my skin never feels stripped, just soft and nourished.

Nivea lip balm

Nivea Original Care Lip Balm

Georgia Moore, Copy Editor

I never leave the house without my Nivea Original Care lip balm. It’s great for dry or chapped lips in winter and helps moisturise in summer. The range also includes lip balms with SPF protection!

Skinfix barrier cream

Skinfix Barrier+ Triple Lipid-Peptide Cream

Jessica Parker, Social Content Producer

I am a chronic over-applier of all my skincare products so having a moisturiser with an application that produces the perfect amount in one pump is fantastic for my skin and my wallet. I love that I can use this morning and night meaning fewer products to purchase and store. It’s just the perfect all-rounder moisturiser.

My skin feels hydrated and plumped after every use without any extended oily residue or issue with makeup application.

La Roche Posay SPF

La Roche-Posay Anthelios Invisible Fluid Facial Sunscreen 50+

Samantha Trenoweth, Features Editor

I could not safely navigate summer without La Roche-Posay Anthelios Invisible Fluid Facial Sunscreen 50+. It comes tinted (my personal favourite) or not and is on my face every single day. It is the first time sunscreen has not caused my sensitive 60-year-old skin to break out in pimples.

Omnilux Contour Face

Omnilux Contour Face

Fran Abdallaoui, Food Director

I’m a fan of the Omnilux LED mask. I’ve probably been using it for the last two years or so a few times per week and think it has helped with brightening and evening up skin tone. Not sure about wrinkles and fine lines but my take on skin care is that it’s more about consistency and finding the products that you like and that you are prepared to invest in.

Embryolisse moisturiser

Embryolisse Lait-Crème Concentré

Nicole Hickson, Deputy Copy Editor

It’s taken a while to find a moisturiser that I love because I’m not a fan of heavy creams, but Embryolisse Lait-Crème Concentré is now my firm favourite. It’s lightweight but nourishing, gentle on my sensitive skin and acts as a great base for make-up.

Paula's Choice exfoliator

Paula’s Choice Skin Perfecting 2% BHA Liquid Exfoliant

Bec Milligan, Senior Digital Content Producer

My skin used to be so oily, which led to whiteheads and blackheads galore. But about two years ago, I started using Paula’s Choice Skin Perfecting 2% BHA Liquid Exfoliant. In just a few weeks, my skin was glowing, my pores were much smaller, and my breakouts stopped happening altogether! I use the exfoliant once a day, after cleansing but before my serum, eye cream and moisturiser. It’s so easy to swipe on that it can easily slot into any skincare routine. If you’re an oily gal like I used to be, I can’t recommend Paula’s Choice exfoliant enough!

Cosmetics 27 Glow 27

Cosmetics 27 Glow 27

Maddy Wilson, Editorial Coordinator

This has to be my favourite vitamin C product to combat the aftermath of breakouts. It made such a noticeable difference in reducing my pigmentation and added an overall glow to my skin. It also features skullcap which is a great antibacterial and antioxidant. This is truly a product I’d recommend to anyone who’s looking for a hard-working vitamin C.

Cetaphil moisturiser

Cetaphil Moisturising Cream

Bernard O’Shea, Senior Copy Editor

I swim regularly at the local pool but my skin gets very dry, particularly my feet, which feel so taut that I can’t sleep unless I give myself a moisturising foot massage before bedtime. Sweet dreams are made of this: Cetaphil’s Moisturising Cream for Dry to Very Dry, Sensitive Skin. It’s non-greasy, fragrance-free and comes in big, economical tubs too.

Imbibe Living Collagen Jelly

Imbibe Living Collagen Jelly

Lilly Veitch, Market Editor

One of my favourite hydrating products is the super lightweight but really hydrating Imbibe Living Collagen Jelly. I use this daily and will be repurchasing it!

Cancer Council BB Cream

Cancer Council Nourishing BB Cream Light Tint SPF50+ 50ml

Orlaith Costello, Digital Editor

I personally do not love wearing makeup, especially heavy foundation. My sensitive skin needs to breathe — especially with the hot and humid Sydney weather. I love this nifty BB cream from Cancer Council. It offers light coverage and provides very high UV protection with SPF 50+ with broad spectrum UVA and UVB protection — perfect for preventing sun damage to my delicate Irish skin.

The BB cream also promises to hydrate your skin with natural oils and extracts including Kakadu plum, argan oil, jojoba oil, acai, chamomile and green tea extracts. Plus, it smells great and dries matte. Love it!

Summer Fridays Jet Lag Mask

Jayde Malifa, Head of Digital

I originally bought the Summer Fridays Jet Lag Mask for travel, but now it’s become my go-to overnight moisturiser. It’s super hydrating and leaves my skin feeling fresh, dewy, and well-rested—basically a glow-up in a tube. It’s lightweight, never greasy, and gives my skin the extra TLC it needs, whether I’m jet-lagged or just need a little pick-me-up. Safe to say, I’m obsessed!
